The suit doesn't get better later but your (my) control of the suit builds, firstly with some jumps without booties, then you progress to using the booties. More powerful track but harder to control for a novice tracker like me
You won't lose the zip slider when it's actually holding onto the bootie, zipped up. Only when it's flapping around, loose. So you would probably lose it early on during the warranty period. The warranty didn't matter to me much because the suit came from Hungary and I am in New Zealand. The manufacturer was excellent to deal with though. They sent the suit when they only had my word that I had sent the funds, which because of the banks, took a long time to get through
