Welcome on new forum for BASE jumpers!
For those of you who were disappointed by the shutdown of basejumper.com and still miss this kind of resource like I did, this could be a new playground for your discussions.
Not like on Facebook, where discussions easily get buried in all the clutter and are not easy to find, especially if you’re looking for a specific topic that was talked about years ago. Here, discussions will be organized into specific forums and easily searchable, just like you were used to in the days of our legendary basejumper.com. The forum is running on open source and has all the prerequisites to not be shut down like BJ.
Basejumper.com forum restored!
Some of the content of the original BJ was saved, thanks to Kenny Daniels, who was able to download it before the site was shut down. The original site operator also announced that they understand the value of forum content to the community and that they will tolerate reposting content on another domain if it is with good intentions. Since the static basejumper.net is difficult to search, I decided to migrate the content to the new forum and give it back dynamic capabilities like search. There may be some bugs and I may try to fix those once you report them as well as forum may not be complete depending what Kenny was able to save but still It’s quite a resource containing almost 18k of discussions with almost 190k of posts.
