BASE Jumping Rules / Chamonix Mont-Blanc

To allow a sustainable practice of base-jump within the municipality of Chamonix Mont-Blanc, please respect the following:
1- Comply with general aviation regulations (Decree of October 10, 1957, art.3) as well as that specific to the Mont-Blanc massif (Ministerial Decree LF-R30 A and B)
Flights safety:

All jumps are prohibited in July and August in the exclusion zone of the massif (Decree LF-R30 B) (see maps).
3-
Jumps from the Aiguille du Midi and from Brévent are prohibited all year round.
4- To avoid any accident with an helicopter in the valley,
please call just before jumping

Check for other aircrafts and paragliders

No fly-by (people / buildings / structures).
Landing sites safety :
7- Respect the
opening limit zone : ban on entering less than 600m from the urban area without having opened the parachute (see maps)
8- For the exits from the Col du plan to the Aiguille de la République, use only the landing site A (see maps).
For the exits from the Col du midi to the Aiguille du Goûter use only the landing site B

Remember, only mountain jumps are allowed, not the one close to the gondolas ! NO Brévent, NO Aiguille du Midi
