Just got word from a friend that Moe Viletto has passed. He was such a great person and always willing to disseminate his vast knowledge to anyone willing to listen. As a young BASE jumper he pulled me aside and explained that I was going about this sport in a manner that was not conducive to a long life expectancy. It was an eye-opening moment and probably allowed me to be writing this post. I'm gonna miss that guy.

I can confirm his death.
Not jumping related.

Glad you got to meet him, your and his life is the better for it.
but
LOL
Obviously you didn't know him in the 80's

He became a "different" person socially when he moved back to pennsyltucky.

I miss him.
Just last week we were planning how we'd get back to Romsdal.

I'll stop now.

Blue Skies Moe!

He sewed my first tail pocket on my Super Raven 4 and made my first 48'' pilotchute!

Rest in Peace Brother.

Blue Skies, Moe.

That man was an institution in the sport. Actually, to echo Kleggo, he was probably a couple different institutions at different times.

Anyone still have a Moe Edge in their closet?
