Re: [Treejumps] Blind BASE Jump Documentary

Well a bag of dog food had a 50% success rate, so this sounds doable. With good commands via a radio set, I can see this being pulled off, but clearly this person should try flying and landing in a skydiving environment 1st. If he wants to land wet, then I don't see any problem teaching him to go handheld into a pool or with the many versions of exit simulators and putting him off. Obviously this person could not become a base jumper who is self sufficient, and really, all I see being proposed is a guy doing a bridge jump so have at it.

Here in holland we have had several blind people doing solo first jumps, static line. Good radio's of course. All worked out fine. Should be OK from a bridge then, with some exit training in a pool. Landing area preferibly big as well. IMHO there is no real need to do (a) blind skydive(s) first.
He is rock climbing blind? Surely he can climb an antenna blind
